ArtMoments Jakarta 2023 Spotlights Indonesia’s Ever-Growing Art Scene
By The Time Place Magazine
After the success of the first-ever hotel art fair in Bali last June 2023, ArtMoments Jakarta is back with another exciting encore. This time, the art fair aims for a more intimate, curated, and boutique-style exhibition to be held on 18-20 August at the prestigious Grand Ballroom of Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel.
Now in its 6th edition, ArtMoments Jakarta continues its mission to unite art lovers and collectors with artists hailing from diverse corners of the region. Bringing together over 30 exceptional art galleries, the art fair endeavours to propel the ongoing advancements of Indonesia’s art sphere forward, as well as celebrate the remarkable strides made by art initiatives and institutions in the modern era.
Guided by the artistic vision of Rizki Zaelani, ArtMoments Jakarta 2023 will embrace the theme “EMBRACE MOMENTS: Continually Art.” The theme seeks to highlight the boundless significance of creativity in the context of our ever-evolving contemporary society, touching upon the sustainability progress of our universe, the value and interconnectedness of living ecosystems, the intricacies of life cycle experiences, and the threats to life. Ultimately, ArtMoments Jakarta reiterates time and time again the constant truth that art stands as a fundamental part of life.
Art enthusiasts and collectors are eagerly anticipating the much-awaited ArtMoments Jakarta event, yet they can expect to experience so much more with various public presentations spread throughout the hotel spaces and connecting shopping areas. One of the art fair’s major highlights will showcase the exceptional works of Indonesian contemporary artist, Arkiv Vilmansa from G3n Project. Greeting visitors at the hotel lobby entrance is one of his remarkable creations—a 3.5-meter-tall sculpture that was already sold before it was showcased for the art fair. Furthermore, visitors can look forward to witnessing the large-scale digital installation titled ‘Walk Cycle’ created by the acclaimed Tokyo-based visual artist and animation director, Kongkee from Whitestone Gallery.
Once again receiving the full support from Bank Central Asia (BCA) as its official bank partner, ArtMoments Jakarta guarantees a seamless art-buying experience for all art enthusiasts and collectors attending the event. Visitors holding BCA credit cards will be granted the exclusive privilege of utilizing the ‘Cicilan BCA 0% up to 24 months’ feature when making their art purchases.
