FENDI invited fashion influencer Bryan Yambao (better known as Bryan Boy) to explore their new factory and see how the Peekaboo bags are made. As a bag expert, there is no better person for them to invite, after all. FENDI showed him all the steps that go into their special interlaced leather model.

If you love fashion, especially handbags and accessories, like I do, I think you’ll have a much better sense of appreciation when you see how your beloved handbag is made from start to finish.”  -Bryan Boy

About FENDI factory:

FENDI factory, the new pole of excellence located in the heart of Tuscany’s countryside in Capannuccia (Bagno a Ripoli), close to Florence, occupies a 30,000-square-meter area formerly housing the Fornace Brunelleschi kiln.

Blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, the factory features a building developed on one main level, housing all the functions (production, laboratories, offices, services), a basement for parking and a 1st floor with the canteen directly overlooking the roof garden.

It is surrounded by seven hectares of greenery, which have been treated with utmost care. The landscape project of FENDI factory’s park is designed with the aim of integrating it and the landscape in a perfect mix of spontaneous woods and agricultural sceneries of Tuscan countryside.

Following the principles of sustainability that have driven the design of FENDI factory, all furnishings are Made in Italy; upholstered furniture and stock leather have been reused and upcycled.

In keeping with the Roman luxury house’s continuous commitment towards sustainability, FENDI factory would be the first factory to reach the prestigious LEED Platinum certification by 2023.
