The 2024 Met Gala was a spectacle of style and sophistication, with celebrities gracing the red carpet in an array of stunning CHANEL creations. From timeless classics to avant-garde designs, the creations stayed faithful to this year’s Gala dress code, The Garden of Time.

Celebrities, including Penélope Cruz, Michelle Williams, and more, dazzled onlookers as they stepped out in their CHANEL attires, radiating elegance and glamour. See the list below.

Penélope Cruz

The Spanish actress and CHANEL Ambassador wore a custom CHANEL Haute Couture bustier evening gown with a train in silk tulle and silk taffetas embellished with 8 different types of French floral laces in black and silver. The dress is embellished in the back with flower shaped jeweled buttons. It took 500 hours of work and 8 different laces to make this dress.

She completed the look with Tweed Pastel necklace in 18K white gold, diamonds, and cultured pearls; Tweed Pastel bracelet in 18K white gold, diamonds, and cultured pearls; Tweed Mademoiselle ring in 18K white gold and diamonds; and Bouton de Camélia earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds.

Michelle Williams

Michelle wore a strapless organza dress fully embroidered with sequined floral motifs and a long coat in white tulle embellished with an embroidered braid, look 56, from the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2024 collection and CHANEL shoes. 1.072 hours and around 113,000 embroidered elements were required in the making of this dress. The white organza dress is fully embroidered with floral motifs made up of white beads and sequins.

She also wore Franges Necklace in 18K white gold and diamonds; Evocation floral ring in 18K white gold and diamonds; and Transformable earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds.

Riley Keough

The CHANEL Ambassador wore a custom long dress with a black silk tulle top fully embroidered with sequins, creating a grey background that imitates tweed and camelias in shades of blue, pink and black and a belted black chiffon skirt, inspired by look 31 from the CHANEL Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2022 collection. To make this dress, it took 1,174 hours and about 200,000 embroidered elements in total.

Camila Morrone

The American actress and model wore a white organza pleated off-the-shoulder blouse with a navy and black skirt embellished with feathers and beads, look 32, from the CHANEL Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2021/22 collection, paired with CHANEL shoes.

1,210 hours and around 80,000 embroidered elements were required in the making of this dress. All-over embroidery of feathers strands faded from blue to black decorated with glass beads tassels and a black and navy-blue frayed tulle strip on the skirt.

Completing the look were Blé Infini ring in 18K white gold and diamonds, and Motif Russe earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds.

Tessa Thompson

Tessa Thompson wore a long strapless black dress in tulle embroidered with sequined bows and an over dress in white floral organza panels adorned with a velvet bow over a black lycra body, look 38, from the CHANEL Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2024 collection, paired with CHANEL shoes. It took 850 hours and around 80,250 embroidered elements to make this dress.

The actress also wore Roubachka earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds and Soleil ganse in 18K white gold and diamonds.

Sofia Coppola

Sofia Coppola kept it classy as always by wearing a custom black and white long jacket in embroidered sheer tulle with a tweed effect embellished with pockets in double black silk tulle, embroidered velvet and leather braids and jewelled buttons and a matching skirt. 399 hours of work were required in the making of this attire. She paired it with CHANEL belt and shoes.

Gracie Abrams

The singer & songwriter wore a top in black silk crepe and daisy plumetis, embroidered with crystals with a long petticoated skirt in pale pink silk tulle embroidered with ecru satin bows, look 48, from the CHANEL Haute Couture Spring- Summer 2024 collection, paired with CHANEL shoes. 930 hours and around 19,810 embroidered elements were required to make Gracie’s dress.

She also wore Broadway earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds Zina ring in 18K white gold and diamonds, Emilienne ring in 18K white gold and diamonds, and Ruban ring in 18K white gold and diamonds.
