Breganze/ Asolo, Italy. September 9, 2020. DIESEL is excited to announce its second collaboration with Alpinestars, the preeminent masters of technical racing gear. Based in Asolo, Italy and Los Angeles, California, Alpinestars is known for its motorcycle racing apparel and performance protection expertise.
As with the brands’ first collaboration, this partnership is a “mini-capsule,” within DIESEL’s Fall 2020 Collection. DIESEL has historically looked to motorcycle racing for inspiration. The company often references design cues from the racetrack in its collections. Adrenaline, instinct, grit, bravery: all are needed for hitting the track, and all fuel both DIESEL’s and ALPINESTARS’ approach to fashion and design.
The collaboration merges together Diesel’ and Alpinestars’ DNA creating a one of a kind result. Something that should never miss in a braver’ s and/or rider’s wardrobe. Key products include: a classic biker jacket and leather pants for men, and a biker jacket and leather skirt, for women. All these garments feature panelled and contrasting color-blocking, with arcing lines that recall the curves and straightaways of the track.
From there, a complementary array of sweatshirts, t-shirts and baseball caps round out the mix. Throughout the mini-capsule pieces there are graphical elements of a 90’s-era tribal tattoo motif, hybridized in DIESEL x Alpinestars logos. Some of these appear as leather patches, which mirror sponsor logo applications. Part of this collaboration has been produced directly by Alpinestars.
Once again, DIESEL and Alpinestars will promote the collaboration involving stars from the moto-racing world in the making of the official collection shots. These talents include: Alex Rins, Taka Nakagami, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Enea Bastianini, Maria Herrera and Ayumu Sasaki. The goal is to celebrate and spotlight both DIESEL’s and Alpinestars’ commitment to the discipline—and our shared passion for bold, high-octane competition.
The collection will be available at select DIESEL stores worldwide and on diesel.com.
