Exclusive from Singapore: Tory Burch celebrates their Asia Pacific event in Singapore. From April 3 to 5, the American fashion brand and the designer herself, Tory Burch, held a series of events in the heart of the city.
On the first day, Tory Burch held a welcome dinner in The Ahava. Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Tory Burch. Chief Executive Officer Pierre-Yves Roussel, Chinese supermodel Liu Wen, Indonesian actress and singer Cinta Laura, Chinese actress Qin Lan, and more attended the intimate event.
Irwan Mussry (CEO of Time International), Shannon Hartono (Executive Vice President of Time International), Thomas Vallat (Senior Director, Wholesale, Asia), Thibault Villet (President of APAC), Susy Suprantio (General Manager of Plaza Indonesia), Jaclyn Halim (General Manager of Senayan City), and media friends were also in attendance.
All guests joined the designer “in the clouds,” a nod to the ethereal pop-up concept that carried through to the dinner, which appeared to be unfolding in a cerulean sky. Two long tables were set with the brand’s Home collection — white Lettuce Ware and Jolie Fleur plates and glassware — as well as custom floral print linens. Flowers were nestled in bud vases from Mud Rock, founded by local ceramicists and entrepreneurs Ng Seok Har and Michelle Lim, whose studio Tory visited earlier in the day.
It was an elegant setting for a seasonal menu prepared by Chef Emmanuel Stroobant, Chef & Owner of the Michelin-starred Saint Pierre, one of Singapore’s finest restaurants. After dinner, Singaporean musician Keyana took the stage for a surprise performance.
Second day is for Tory ‘In Conversation’ School Talk. Held at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, the American designer Tory Burch shared her passion for fashion and her business. Tory also shared her visions of women’s empowerment, encouraging every woman to never give up on their dreams.
Finally, on the last day, Tory Burch unveiled a unique pop-up shop on Orchard Road, adjacent to its Wisma Atria boutique in Singapore, from April 1 to April 16. Inspired by the work of artist René Magritte, the installation has a surreal quality with inflated T Monogram sculptures perched on cloud-like structures and set against an animated backdrop of blue sky and soft clouds, creating an ethereal environment on the vibrant shopping boulevard.
The dramatic exterior is echoed on the interior of the pop-up where additional T Monogram sculptures serve as a display for an assortment of handbags, footwear and ready-to-wear from the Spring/Summer collection. It includes the new T Monogram denim collection as well as the Ella Bio, the evolution on an iconic tote, crafted in an innovative plant-based leather.
Among the guests at the opening event were the designer herself, Tory Burch, Executive Vice President of Time International Shannon Hartono, Indonesian actress and singer Cinta Laura, and more.
