Another season, Maison Valentino has another new cool collaboration to be excited for – especially for the streetwear enthusiasts. For the FW20/21 collection, Maison Valentino unveiled a fresh collaboration with Japanese sports-inspired fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger, where an exclusive style of the renowned MEXICO 66 SD sneakers has been conceived.

The MEXICO 66 SD sneaker has been reinterpreted by Pierpaolo Piccioli in four different shades with the Valentino V logo in the side, enhancing the importance of the power of color, an iconic element of the Maison.

Whereas the signature sneaker takes on a multicolored colorway, the neon offerings come as a block color, with the upper, insides and sole unit appearing in one bright shade. These four neon pairs are said to be available exclusively via Valentino boutiques and its website, while Onitsuka Tiger will manage the traditional colorway at its stores and via its website.

Said to be released sometime this summer, this collection will most probably speak to those who didn’t feel the hype of the dad sneakers euphoria from the previous seasons (in which Valentino also released some of the brand’s take on the trend – a collaboration included). This hot new release only emphasized Piccioli’s consistent direction of streetwear he’s been pursuing with Valentino in the past few seasons.

Stay tuned for the release of this collection in Indonesia and shop VALENTINO collection exclusively at Plaza Indonesia.
