Bogor, November 2018 – Time International and the casts of the anticipated action film Foxtrot Six paid a special visit to PAUD An-Nisa, an under privileged early childhood education centre in Bogor that is currently being reconstructed. The children and teachers were thrilled to have a surprise visit from actors Oka Antara and Mike Lewis.
This activity was part of Time International’s corporate social responsibility initiative in education aspect to support Happy Hearts Fund Indonesia’s program to rebuild schools. Oka Antara, Mike Lewis and the employees of Time International contributed to the reconstruction through wall painting and mural drawing for the nearly-finished school. They also took part in fun activities with the children.
Opened in 2011, PAUD An-Nisa, originally established as TPQ (Al-Quran learning group center), is located in Kampung Cimanggis Bogor, about 50 km from Jakarta. Most of the communities work as construction labors, factory workers and micro entrepreneurs.
Before the school was rebuilt, the class room suffered massive destruction at the ceiling, leaking and lack of sanitation facility which impact to the study activities. Efforts were therefore placed to provide a better and safe environment for the children and the immediate community. The new PAUD will have two classrooms, a teacher’s room, a toilet and a playground facility.
”We believe that we have a duty to support the children of today who will be our leaders of tomorrow. We are proud to partner with Happy Hearts Fund to get every child back to school and show them that they have a great journey ahead of them,” said Mr. Irwan Danny Mussry, President and CEO of Time International.
PAUD An-Nisa is the sixth school rebuilding project supported by Time International and is expected to be completed by December 2018. Together with Happy Hearts Indonesia, the company has been supporting early childhood development and education programs in Indonesia since 2014.
