Another season, another designer bag to covet from CHANEL. Debuting on the Fall-Winter 2019/20 Ready-to-Wear runway show created by Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard, the Chanel 19 handbag is meant to be a more casual tribute to the iconic 2.55 bag that you can wear every day.
The numeral 19 is very important for CHANEL. Coco Chanel was born August 19, which later inspired the birth of the iconic fragrance No.19 (launched in 1971), and the year 2019. Hence the bag is named after its birth year. The name is a reference to the 2.55 bag, which was made in 1955 by Mademoiselle Chanel.

The rectangular flap bag arrives in three varying sizes (like many other CHANEL bags). Featuring large diamond quilting pattern on leather or tweed with a metal and leather interlaced chain, and also the signature double C logo as a fastener.
The versatility of the bag (which is also very typically CHANEL) is somewhat making it more desirable to own. Sling it over one shoulder, wear it across the body, or simply hold it with the gold chain. A belt bag version is also available to be worn around the waist. Depends on which size you decided to have.

The bag comes in several timeless colors like black, white, and beige. But if you’d like to make a statement, the seasonal tweed also comes in blue, red, green, pink, and black houndstooth.
